Make Money From Website

Writen by William Mok

Making Money From Advertising

If you look at many websites, you will probably notice that there are banner advertisements displayed on most pages. If you are a newcomer to the scene, you might think that you must either be a company or that your site must be famous before you can get advertisers, just as it is the case in hardcopy publications.

In reality, anyone with a website can get advertisers. While it is true that if your site is well-known, you may get companies contacting you to offer to advertise on your site, you can get advertising revenue even if you are just starting out and your site is relatively unknown.

The way to do this is to join as an "affiliate" of various sites, either directly, or through an affiliate network. An affiliate network is simply an intermediary where you can select from a variety of advertisers.

Payment Schemes

Before joining any program, you should probably be aware of the different payment schemes available.

Pay Per Impression

Here, you are paid according to the number of times the advertiser's banner is displayed on your site. The amount you earn is typically calculated based on the number of thousand impressions of the banner (impressions = number of times the banner is displayed), often abbreviated CPM (cost per thousand, with the M being the Latin numeral for thousand). That is, $5 CPM means that you get paid $5 for 1,000 displays of the banner. In general, the amount paid is usually small, but it is easy to earn since everytime a visitor loads the page, you earn. This is known as a "high conversion rate". Needless to say, this method will allow you to automatically earn more if your site attracts a lot of visitors.

Pay Per Click

When you are paid per click, you are only paid when visitors click the advertiser's banner on your site. The amount paid is usually higher than the pay per impression scheme. Whether you get a high conversion rate here depends on the banner (whether it attracts people to click it), although in general, it has a higher conversion rate than the pay per sale method. A high traffic site will probably enjoy a higher click rate than a lower traffic site, although you will probably get better results if your banners are carefully selected to suit the target audience of your site.

Pay Per Sale or Lead

While you will probably get the highest payment rates with this method, it has the lowest conversion rate of the three schemes. You will only earn if your visitors click through the banner and either purchase an item from the advertiser or take some other prescribed action (eg, sign up for a service). Like the Pay Per Click method, you get much better results if you carefully select your advertisers to suit the target audience of your site.

In general, to avoid wasting resources in issuing cheques for very small amounts, advertisers will usually accrue the amount owing to you until it reaches a certain level (such as $25) before they pay you.

Where to Find Affiliate Programs

To join an affiliate network or program, simply go to the site and complete their online application form. Some programs will give you instant approval while others require a human to check out your application before it is approved. Once it is approved, you'll be given some HTML code which you can cut and paste into your web page. Note that some affiliate networks and programs will not accept you unless you have a domain name.

How To Choose An Affiliate Program

How should you choose an affiliate program? My suggestion is not to choose a program according to the payment scheme, but rather according to the kind of people who are likely to visit your website. For example, if you are targeting parents on your site, links to affiliates with educational software, books and the like may generate more revenue than banners that link to web hosting companies. The most important rule of choosing an affiliate program is to know your target audience.

Another point to consider is whether you really want to join every single affiliate program that comes your way. Some studies suggest that sites that make the most money from affiliate programs are affiliates of only a small handful of programs. Furthermore, concentrating your advertisements from one network may allow you to be paid faster. If you advertise for hundreds of different affiliate networks on your site, you may wind up earning only (say) a few dollars per month from each network. If your advertiser's minimum payment amount is higher than what you can earn each month, it may take you a long time before you accrue enough to be paid.

On the other hand, that formula does not necessarily hold true for every site (or every page on your site, for that matter). For example, if your site has a particular theme, and an affiliate network only supports one or two suitable advertisers, you might want to sign up for a few affiliate networks so as to get a greater number of relevant advertisers. After all, advertisements that are relevant to your audience are more likely to be taken up than general advertisements. (What's the point of putting banners from only one affiliate if nobody is going to click them?)

How To Build Your Sales

Writen by David Coyne

You may have heard of joint venture marketing, It's used frequently by savvy entrepreneurs to increase profits and add loads of prospects to their customer list.

So what is joint venture marketing (or j/v)?

Speaking at the Information Marketing Boot Camp (http://www.dc-infobiz.com), Joint venture expert and entrepreneur John Alanis describes it as "a mutually beneficial agreement to sell similar products or services to customers or prospects."

You approach another entrepreneur and ask them if they'll endorse your product and allow you to mail to their customer list.

In exchange, you give the entrepreneur a cut of the gross profits, usually anywhere from 5 to 25 percent. Or you could arrange a list swap.

J/V marketing allows you to quickly add hundreds or thousands of names to your customer list.

The first step is to find a suitable joint venture partner.

Where do you look?

Try your own customers first. Send out a letter or email announcing you're looking for a j/v partner. Be sure to tell them you're looking for a partner who sells similar products to your own. And ask how many customers they have on their list. Obviously, the more, the better.

Another way of to find j/v partners is in trade publications. Look at the advertisers. You'll probably find a few that sell similar products to your own. Contact them by phone or letter and explain you'd like to create a joint venture with them.

Also look in the Standard Rate and Data Service (SRDS) (http://www.srds.com). This directory has every commercially available mailing list, the list owner, etc. Most larger libraries will have a copy of SRDS, although it may be a year or two out of date.

As well, check out the Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters (http://www.mediafinder.com) It's an excellent source for potential customers from newsletter subscriptions. It's an expensive directory to buy, but ask your library if they have a copy.

YOU MUST BE ENDORSED The most important thing is you must have your fellow entrepreneur include a letter of endorsement.

He has already established a relationship with his customers. You haven't. If his customers are satisfied with his product, then they'll much more open to receiving information from him about other products.

Without the endorsement, the customer response will drop significantly.

You can also ghost write the endorsement letter for your j/v partner and then have him sign it.

APPROACHING A J/V PARTNER The best way to approach a potential joint venture partner is to send a letter and then follow up by phone. Be prepared to phone at least a couple of times before your partner agrees.

When sending out the letter proposing a joint venture partnership, be sure to do the following:

  1. Offer to do all the work. You'll handle all the mailing, marketing documents, and product fulfilment.

  2. Collect the customer money yourself and then send your j/v partner his cut for each sale.

  3. Stress the fact that your partner will be "getting money for no work." This is a strong incentive for an entrepreneur to become your j/v partner.

  4. You will deduct your mailing costs and other expenses first and then split the balance with the partner.

  5. Always get your j/v partner to sign your letter agreeing to your terms.

  6. Include an "exit clause." This allows you to cancel the j/v agreement if you find your partner is a headache to deal with.

By following these steps to a joint venture, you'll be able to quickly add hundreds or thousands of potential customers to your database that normally would take years to accumulate.

And, most importantly, you'll increase your sales.

How To Build An Affiliate Marketing Business Online Part 1

Writen by Fred Farah

There's a myth that it's easy to succeed at affiliate marketing, that it takes little effort, and that fortunes can be made in a very short time.

WRONG!

All those who became successful will admit that they worked hard to get to where they are. Success in affiliate marketing can be richly rewarding, but it does takes time and hard work.

The fact is that Affiliate Marketing is an exciting and thriving business. I love it, and love seeing progress every week and every month, as traffic increases and sales go up. I wouldn't change it for anything. Instead, I am adding more niche sites and getting more excited about the prospects.

If you wish to become an affiliate marketer, the thing you must consider is the necessity of having your own web site. It's almost impossible to really be effective without one, and it can't be just an ordinary web site. It needs to be a professional looking one.

So how easy is it to build an affiliate marketing website? What are the steps required to put together a truly useful web site.

First, you must decide on the theme or niche of your market. It's important to have an idea what products or services to promote, as this is necessary to plan the design and layout of your web pages.

You must choose a powerful domain name. It needs to relate closely to the theme of your online business. In deciding what domain name to register, consider the type of products you are endorsing and the theme of your site. Having the right keywords in your domain name gives you a better chance of drawing more visitors to your web site. Choose only the top level domain extension, which is .COM. For an on line business, few attach any credibility to other extensions such as .net or .tv, etc.

Next, select a web host, considering all the services needed. The importance of using a superior web host can't be understated. It's too detailed to discuss in this article, so I shall help you understand it better in another article.

Now, you can start creating your web pages. Don't be discouraged if you don't know how. There are page generation tools and fast launch sites available online. You'll find the online sources to help you build an affiliate marketing website.

Creating your website on your own is the least expensive solution. It helps a lot if you already know the basics in web page development like HTML and graphics software. You'll need these skills to maintain your site and to make it easy to navigate.

If you are green in the field of web design, then ultimately you will want to choose a web host that has built-in tools to help you to build your site's web pages. Hosts such as Site Build It! offer their Site Builder tool, which I used to build my whole site without needing to know programs like Dreamweaver or Microsoft Frontpage. These programs are really overwhelming to the majority of us. You can read more about SBI! on my web site at http://www.bestaffiliateproducts.com/sbi.html

The key to drawing visitors to your site is in having high quality content; so the next thing you must do in building your website is this. Although there are other factors that contribute to the success of your web site, good content tops the list.

This is precisely the reason why surfers will choose to visit your site. They want to get information and if you don't provide it, they'll definitely go elsewhere, never to return. Write interesting articles (or have them written) related to your theme and this will encourage visitors to return to your site. Nothing can contribute more to your success than having repeat visitors.

Next, you must decide on the affiliate programs that complement your site. Add your affiliate links to the articles that are appropriate for each product. Creating these article pages for the products you're endorsing is much more effective than promoting the products with hyped-up banner ads. Keep your readers interested by injecting lots of relevant and useful information. Remember that 'no content' or boring content means 'no repeat visitors', no sales and no commission.

Keep your site simple yet with a touch of class. It needs to appear more of a business website than a personal website.

When your website is well under way, submit its URL to major search engines so visitors can find you.

Continue your education by learning how to use keywords for search engine optimization. Learn how to insert them in your content. Update your site regularly by adding new web pages. Make sure to inform your prospects about the latest updates in your site, using your newsletter to accomplish this.

The Internet is a huge source of information about everything imaginable, so make use of it, and make it available to your visitors.

Now that we have built our web site, we must discuss the more critical aspects of building your online business. We shall discuss this in Part 2

Affiliate Marketing Basics The Associate Program At Work

Writen by J. Elisha Burke

In this technology driven society, it appears that everyone is connected to the World Wide Web. In addition, a greater number of individuals are creating web sites for either personal or business use. With the e-commerce trade booming, many are searching for ways to make money online, preferably with their sites.

The affiliate marketing or associate program, has become an increasingly popular way to earn extra cash on the web by promoting individual web sites. These programs can seem quite intimidating initially, however, educating yourself about affiliate marketing basics can ease the confusion of a seemingly complex situation.

One of the first decisions you must make is whether you would like to become an affiliate, acquire affiliates, or do both. Starting your own affiliate program is an ideal option if you operate an e-commerce web site since the affiliate traffic may increase your sales. If you own a personal content site it is a wise choice to join affiliate programs to bring in some extra money. It is eventually up to you to decide what is best for your interest and website, based on how much money and effort you are willing to expend.

As you begin learning affiliate marketing basics, it is quite simple to become an affiliate. First, you must visit an affiliate network web site and complete a member application. This application will ask for standard personal information such as name and address, and also your web site details. The majority of affiliate networks are free of charge. Once your application is approved, you may begin choosing programs that interest you.

After you have selected programs, the owners of these programs will examine your web site, and then show you how to post their affiliate links. Payment agreements will also be made at this time. The amount of money you earn per click initially is very small, so most programs have a minimum payout amount. Do not be discouraged; in time the money will accumulate.

If you want to make a significant sum of money, your best option is to join an affiliate network. These accommodating groups will assist you in composing your own affiliate program and recruit affiliates for you. Most of these networks charge a one time fee, and a deposit that are used to pay your affiliates. Others will also charge a yearly fee. If you want to join one of the chief affiliate networks, be prepared to dish out up to $5,000, and a percentage of your profits. While this may seem expensive, these networks help you establish your complete program, and handle your affiliates.

Educating yourself about affiliate marketing basics can be extremely beneficial. In the end, the knowledge you have gathered can help you adapt comfortably in the affiliate community.

Affiliate Programs 3 Simple Steps To Get Started

Writen by Daryl H. Bryant

The Internet has made is easier than ever for webmasters to earn money on the side with part-time effort. Sometimes all you have to do is help drive traffic to another site and other times you simply need to help other companies make sales from their site, almost acting as a sales representative for the company. You earn a fee for the traffic you provide or make a commission for the sale you help the company make. The way to make money that I am referring to is called an Affiliate Program.

An Affiliate Program is an advertising program offering a monetary incentive for webmasters to drive traffic to the publisher's website or to help them make sales. This eliminates the necessity for the publisher to find websites with related content to list their banners. It also increases the response rate by giving the "affiliate" websites a stake in the response rate.

Thousands of companies are offering different types of Affiliate Programs, whether it is to simply drive traffic to their site or to help them make sales. Either way, the great part about becoming an affiliate is you can easily create a website that targets the publisher's content and not have to worry about shipping products, following up with customer service calls or focusing to grow a business. You can simply add a few banner ads to your site, and if your content is intriguing enough, can probably acquire a few sales for doing minimal work.

This article is going to explain three simple steps to get you started. The ways I describe below are not the only method, but they will help you gain an understanding and set you in the right direction, which will help you to figure out what type of Affiliate Program is right for you.

1. Find an Affiliate Program that Interests You

The first step is to find an affiliate program that interests you. A great website to start looking through is Commission Junction. CJ Access, their self-service solution, provides small to medium-sized advertisers, access to their global network of publishers, educational resources, and sophisticated reporting tools. CJ Access delivers all the functionality needed for the general management and administration of your performance-based marketing program – all on demand.

Upon registration, you will gain access to Commission Junction's large database of publishers. Once you signup for your account, you can pick and choose which publishers you would like to advertise with. CJ will provide you with all the tools necessary to get you started advertising almost immediately.

2. Build your Site and Develop Content that Relates to the Publisher's Business

After you've selected the type of Affiliate Program that's right for you and you've chosen the Publisher(s) that you would like to target, the second steps is to build your site and develop content that targets and relates to the Publishers type of business. If you're targeting Dell as your Publisher, then you would need to develop a site that targets Dell products and has topics that relates to Dell's business. After your content get's indexed in the search engines, people will be looking for topics that relate to Dell and happen to come across your site. As they read through your site, they will come across the banner ads, which you have strategically placed within the site and hopefully, click them to be directed to Dell's website.

Now because you signed up with Commission Junction and let's say Dell signed up as a publisher, Dell will know when someone is coming from your site to theirs because you receive an Advertisers Affiliate ID and this will be passed to Dell when someone clicks on the banner ads within your site. So when someone visits the Dell site from your site and they purchase something, then you will receive the commission that was agreed upon by Commission Junction and Dell.

3. Market your Site and Increase your Traffic

The third and final step is to market and advertise your site to increase your traffic. Without a good amount of traffic, it will be difficult to earn money through an Affiliate Program. There are hundreds of different ways to advertise your site, whether it's setting up an automated Google Sitemap, signing up for Google AdWords or posting articles to an article distribution website, be sure to start with something.

Also, make sure to continue and add more content on a frequent basis to keep your site up-to-date with your publishers site. This will also help tremendously in the search engines. Remember, traffic is the key to be successful in an Affiliate Program and with good quality and quantity of content, you will be sure to increase your traffic.

You may also want to add Google AdSense to your website. Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your site or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts, you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

This article is an introduction to Affiliate Programs to help you get started. As you learn more and educate about Affiliate Programs, you will sure to increase your knowledge and begin to realize the various ways that you can earn money as an Affiliate with part time effort. I wish you much success.

If you've never heard the term "Quality Score" or if you don't know what it means then you could be losing thousands of dollars a month in sales, and in wasted advertising costs. Beating Adwords has been built with the Beginner and Intermediate Marketer in mind, and for that reason it is the best Marketing resource available on the internet today.

Other guides claim that you can make thousands of dollars a day by working 30 minutes or less a week. These are just lies. They may forget to mention the fact that it may have taken 100's of hours to set up these successful streams of income. It is possible to leave things on autopilot, but not without putting in a lot of time setting them up first.

We will step you through the correct way to set up your Adwords Account so that when the time comes, you can put your campaigns on autopilot and watch the money roll in. We don't believe in simply mentioning something without going into detail. There is no point in doing this as it only confuses the issue. Internet Marketing is a very detail oriented business and without proper instruction you can end up losing a lot of money fast. We know people who have spent literally thousands of dollars buying e-books online and they still have no idea how to get started. Why? Because no other book goes into the detail that Beating Adwords does.

The flow and design of the book are great and it is very easy to navigate while you learn. You'll like how things are easily laid out and are provided in steps. Once you've read through the start up section you will be instantly thrown into a pool of tips, techniques and methods that we use, and teach on a daily basis.

If you are an intermediate marketer you have to ask yourself this question. How do I outsmart my competition? More importantly, how do I make sure that I can compete with people who have more money, resources, or time? The Answer to your question is that you need to harness the pure power of Adwords. Do you have adgroups with a CTR as low as 1%? Many people even have less. We know exactly how to consistently get your CTR up over 20% or 30%. It's simply a matter of knowing the secrets that Google doesn't tell you.

We're not going to tell you that we've re-invented the wheel and have some "Miracle" system that we are going to share with you. The fact is that we've been around the Internet Marketing industry for so long that we know what beginners and intermediate marketers need in order to take themselves to the next level. Valuable Success Tips For Displaying Affiliate Marketing Banners

Writen by Elizabeth McGee

Banner links can be a powerful promotion tool for advertising your affiliate products. Almost all affiliate programs offer them and smart affiliates take advantage of their advertising power by using them on their affiliate sites.

Using banner advertising is a valuable resource but how you use them is key. The success of a banner's click through rate is often determined by where a banner is placed on your site, how it is worded, its eye-catching ability, colors, etc.

So what makes a banner achieve a high C.T.R.?

There are several things ...let's take a look.

Keep Your Banners Focused.

Don't use your home page for banners. Keep your banners focused on the page designed for that particular product. For example, a gardening site should display a fertilizer banner on the fertilizer page. Keep your banners, and text links for that matter, on relevant content pages.

Size of Banners.

Size does matter. Research has found that banners, normally those around 468 x 60 (pixels) are more catchy, gaining more clicks than the smaller pixel banners.

Banner Animation.

There have been studies that suggested animation can increase response rates by up to twenty five percent. It is important to note however, that flashing, obnoxious banners can have quite the opposite effect, especially if it remains in a position that is annoying to someone trying to read text.

Using animation banners would be better placed out of the range of text where a viewer can become distracted by it.

Banner Phrases and Wording.

A banner's choice of words is critical to its success. A good banner will demand a click by using attention grabbing words and phrases. Phrases such as 'Click here now', 'Buy Now', 'money back guarantee' all create a call to action . Words such as 'Last chance', 'only 24 hours left', or 'limited time offer' create a sense of urgency.

Asking questions that generate emotions such as 'Want to save money?', How would you like to be 10 pounds thinner?', 'Wouldn't you like to be debt free?' all are successful in promoting clicks. Be careful of using the word 'FREE'. While 'free' might generate a high C.T.R., the click to sales, however, is not as high.

Banners that ask questions instructing visitors to interact with the banner such as flashing an icon where the visitor can point and click has also shown to increase click through rates by as much as 18%.

Website Positioning of Banners.

Banners at the bottom of a page have almost three times the C.T.R. than at the top of the page. This is primarily because most viewers to a site are looking for information. Once they read the information they are more receptive to clicking on the banner after the information.

It's also been noted that banners placed on the lower right hand side next to the scroll bar had over a 200% increase in C.T.R.

Banner Loading Time.

Use fast loading banners. C.T.R. increases to nearly three percent when using banners that are about 3,000 bytes vs. banners over 10,000 bytes. You will miss out on clicks if it takes too long for a banner to load.

Refresh Your Banners.

Refresh your banners on a regular basis. I've learned that banners tend to lose their giddy-up after prolonged use. Even Yahoo! has mentioned that banners 'burn out' after about two weeks of use. Allow your site to change its look occasionally when promoting a particular product.

In conclusion, it's all about testing. No one can say for sure what works best. Tests are conducted all the time and theories are published, however only you can determine what really works best for you by testing it.

How To Turn 0 Into 1500 In Clickbank Affiliate Commissions

Writen by Codrut Turcanu

Believe it or not, this 3-minute article will reveal to you how you too can cash in with the ClickBank affiliate program and generate large affiliate commissions.

If you have ever wanted to know how you can start making money online by promoting ClickBank affiliate products and without spending a penny on advertising, now it's your chance to discover how I do it in 3 quick STEPS.

Before we go any further I want to share with you a few ClickBank insider secrets:

a. All you need to get started is a ClickBank affiliate nickname which you can get at ClickBank.com. It's 100% free to sign-up and you can start promoting a product within minutes.

b. It is fairly easy for someone to hijack a ClickBank affiliate code and steal your commissions. Also, it is fairly easy to protect your ClickBank commissions and make a nice living on the web solely with ClickBank.

c. The ClickBank marketplace makes it easy to earn commissions as a ClickBank affiliate by browsing up to 10,000 digital products like eBooks, software tools, services, etc.

Now, that I have told you these facts, I want to let you know how I generate ClickBank affiliate commissions with zero advertising costs, quickly and easily:

STEP #1 - I pick products that pay at least $30 per sale.

The ClickBank network contains over 10,000 products and services.

You can easily get confused and overwhelmed with so many products.

If you want to make real money I suggest you pick a ClickBank product that pays at least $30 in commissions.

You can search ClickBank for vendors that allow you to get 75% commissions... if a product sells for $67, 75% off $67 means over $50.

HINT: there are loads of ClickBank vendors that pay high commissions in the 60-75% range. So stick with them!

This is an easy way to skyrocket your ClickBank affiliate commissions.

STEP #2 - I create a mini course to promote the product.

FACT: marketing studies show that on average a person needs to see an advertisement for about 7 times before they decide to buy the product or not (online or offline)

Here comes the most exciting part - autoresponders can help you send out e-mails to your prospects (potential buyers) and turn them into real customers who order from you again and again.

Once I pick a ClickBank product, I review it carefully by buying a copy of it and testing it wisely.

If I like it, I'm going to create a 5-part course containing mini lessons targeted to the ClickBank product I promote.

If the one I pick is related to dog training, then I'm going to create a 5-part course with dog training tips, tricks and techniques.

Each lesson will be uploaded onto my autoresponder and each e-mail will contain a link to a separate page on my site where the lead will read the lesson and a mini review of the ClickBank product I recommend.

TIP: never promote more than 2 or 3 ClickBank related products on the same web page. You don't want to confuse your reader. When I am offered too many options I get confused about buying, and I'm not going to order due to this fact alone.

STEP #3 - I create a mini page review.

If you truly want to boost your ClickBank commissions you owe it to yourself to create a mini page review of the product you recommend.

Here's what your review needs to contain:

a. write a few paragraphs about why you like the product and why you recommend it to your reader.

Offer positive and negative aspects as well.

b. add 2 or 3 testimonials from happy customers.

You can snatch testimonials from the ClickBank vendor site or you can ask those who already purchased from your ClickBank affiliate link to send you their feedback.

In return you should promise them a special bonus and tell them you're going to publish their comment as a testimonial on your web page.

HINT: this is a mutual benefit. You get new testimonials that the vendor site hasn't - your visitors will trust you more than the vendor site (product owner). Your customer will get your bonus and have a link on your site that should bring them some nice exposure to their business.

In conclusion, if you follow these 3 powerful tactics below, you're going to make large ClickBank commissions with zero advertising costs, quickly and easily

Affiliate Internet Marketing Secret That High Earning Super Affiliates Dont Want You To Know About

Writen by Christopher Kyalo

Ever since Amazon.com made them famous online, affiliate programs have come a long way and anybody who can figure out an effective affiliate Internet marketing method or system is guaranteed an amazingly high monthly income.

The truth is that there are many people who usually spend a significant amount of money every month on their affiliate Internet marketing and end up with a substantial return to show for their cash investment. PPC (Pay-per-click) ads are probably the most popular paid advertising that leading super affiliates use to drive targeted traffic to their affiliate web sites.

Still there are other high-earning super affiliates who spend zero on the same affiliate internet marketing programs and still take home the same amount check or sometimes an even higher amount check than that of a person using PPC ads. It is widely know that even as you read this some sites are writing out handsome checks of over $150,000 every month to their top affiliates.

Actually one of the fascinating things about the net is that there are so many different ways of doing the same thing and achieving the same goals and objectives. And while some people invest substantial amounts to earn from their affiliate programs, others are doing okay with the very same affiliate programs by investing only their time and skills and not a dime in cash. It is just like the folks who believe in paying for online information for it to be of any real value, while at he same time others thrive on their research skills using a search engine with no credit card in sight.

But admittedly, for you to successfully use free affiliate Internet marketing methods, you will need to be a real pro and to know exactly what your are doing. There are no two ways about it, you have to be very highly skilled. The good news however is that all the skills required for affiliate Internet marketing success can easily be developed and learned.

It seems like only yesterday when I was a novice wasting a lot of my time writing loads of affiliate internet marketing promotional articles and then wasting even more time posting them in every single article directory that I came across using Google search engine queries. Tragically, I paid no attention to carefully selected low competition keywords capable of generating huge free traffic from search engines almost effortlessly. Neither did I have the slightest idea of what a link-baiting article was.

I have since come a long way in my affiliate Internet marketing and if a previously ignorant guy like me did it, so can you.

Adapting To The Changing Face Of Affiliate Marketing

Writen by Donny Lowy

Affiliate marketing has been used by brick and mortar retailers and exclusively online business, to develop their presence online. By engaging in symbiotic relationships with their affiliates, these businesses were able to increase their sales without a corresponding increase in advertising. But as the affiliate environment changes, affiliate programs must change as well.

Affiliate marketing has proven itself to be an effective Internet marketing strategy because it rewards people for their efforts to promote a company, which otherwise would have to solely rely on advertising.

In the past the majority of affiliates relied on advertising their affiliate links through search engines such as Google and Overture. This technique only remained useful as long as the competition from other affiliates, and the company itself, had a smaller reach than the market demand for the product or service being offered.

But as competition grew among affiliates the effectiveness of using search engine advertising diminished. This was in part to the fact that the major search engines required affiliates to let visitors know that they were affiliates.

Since most people prefer to click on links that they feel will connect them directly with the company, the response rate of those affiliate ads decreased.

In response to this change the affiliate community has had to resort to innovative tactics to bring traffic to their affiliate links.

Sites such as www.affiliateinternetsystem.com have responded to this shift in the market by introducing strategies and plans that will allow affiliates to gain affiliate commissions without purchasing advertising on the search engines.

Even among large advertisers there has been a shift in their method of online advertising. While many in the past had relied purely on pay per click programs, they have now moved towards content and community based advertising.

Affiliates have also responded to he changing online marketplace by advertising their affiliate programs through offline methods. Some of these offline methods have included magazine display advertising, post card mailings, and flyer distribution.

The affiliate marketing business is constantly in flux as affiliates look for ways to draw customers through their links. Careful affiliates also keep a close eye on the bottom line, to make sure that the affiliate program that they are promoting covers their expenses.

Another important subject covered by www.affiliateinternetsystem.com is the need to compare and contrast affiliate programs to decide on the right affiliate program to be involved with.

Successful affiliates monitor industry trends to select affiliate programs which seem promising. They track announcements by affiliate managers to see what information they can learn to help them increase the profitability of their affiliate businesses.

"Affiliates have shown that this is an effective model which relies more on ingenuity and creativity, than on a large sized corporate advertising budget," said Donny Lowy, the author of Selling Online: Beyond eBay.

Canspan Act And Affiliate Responsibility

Writen by Karen Kari

If there's one affiliate absolute it is to NEVER, for any reason, send an unsolicited email to anyone that is promoting anything. No commercial messages, unless the recipient has specifically requested that you send him/her email promoting a product or service. And don't ever buy, borrow, lease or trade email lists. If you send commercial email at all, carefully read up on spam regulations and penalties at http://www.spamlaws.com/federal/can-spam.shtml.

The CAN-SPAM (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing) Act took effect on January 1, 2004. It is a federal act, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission that requires unsolicited commercial email to be labeled as such. Included in the regulations (again, read it all, and any amendments that may be passed) is the requirement that all unsolicited email must include subject lines that are not deceptive, as well as opt-out instructions and the sender's physical address. At present, the FTC is authorized to establish a "do not e-mail" registry similar to the "do not mail" and "do not call" registries, but it has not yet done so.

Not wanting to antagonize recipients, however targeted they may be, most mailers stick strictly to the double opt-in method, in which site visitors subscribe to a newsletter or ezine, are sent a confirmation email to the subscriber. Only when the subscriber confirms by return email that they wish to be a subscriber does the site begin sending them emails. Every ezine, newsletter, newsletter link or other email-based commercial message must include an opt out method, usually a link, as well as the actual street address of the mailer.

There's just no point in sending unsolicited email. It dilutes your efforts and damages your reputation and makes you much less attractive as an affiliate partner.

How To Become A Poker Affiliate Cashing In On Poker Affiliate Programs

Writen by Blake Stevenson

To the casual observer making money from online poker might seem like a far-fetched fantasy. But hundreds if not thousands of people are. Most of whom do not own a poker site or work for them directly. Many of them may never have even visited a poker site. Dismissive persons may believe that such a program is just another of the Internets highly ineffective get rich quick schemes, but the truth is very different.

The affiliate industry is a way of for two parties to make serious money based on the success and skills of the others. A successful affiliate will draw in large numbers of visitors to their site and then pass them on to the poker company where they will hopefully choose to sign up. If the affiliate fails in their role of attracting visitors to the online poker forum they will receive no payments and therefore will not be maximising their profit capabilities. Therefore it is in the best interests of both parties that the affiliate does all they can to produce the fully signed up members to a poker site. The site gets their customers and the affiliate gets an income for the lifetime of that player. In return it is in the poker sites best interest to not only get new customers but to also keep them. By introducing bonuses, special games and other retaining ideas, the poker companies can keep a gamer interested for more time and therefore produce more money for the site. More money for the poker site also means more money for the affiliate, which makes almost everybody happy.

Most poker sites offer affiliate programs with varying offers and percentages of a player's lifetime value. Players create money for sites by entering tournaments, playing in hands with large rakes and by adding extra money to their account. So fundamentally all a player needs to do is play regularly to produce an income for the site. Therefore an affiliate can earn a cut of all this money made for the site. The percentage may range between 20 and 35% depending on the site and their individual affiliate plans.

Once the affiliate has passed the player onto the respective poker site, their job is effectively done, for that player. They must then concentrate on attracting more and building on the initial success. There is no need for follow ups or extra work after finding a player, the job is done when the link is clicked on and a person signs up to a cash account. All the affiliate then needs to do is sit back and wait for the player to earn them some extra cash.

Using Wordtracker To Find The Best Affiliate Keywords

Writen by Karen Kari

The benefit is clear – an optimized web page will get you much higher placement in the search listings. But how can you choose the best keywords and key phrases? Guessing doesn't work well, but what process does? Software that helps you identify the universe of keywords relevant to your site by identifying the keywords used by your competitors. The next step in the process is to see how many people used each of these terms in a search. This is compared to the number of sites that contain the keywords. One program, called Wordtracker performs this calculation, and helps you identify the number of searchers and the number of sites containing the keyword.

Wordtracker can help you identify niche keywords you may never have thought of. It tells you the exact terms used by your customers and prospects to find products, services and information. Some of these words are used only a small number of times on competitors' sites. But if actual search statistics indicate that they're used by a reasonable number of individuals in searches, you've found a way to reach your market with less competition.

Once you've mastered the basics of a Wordtracker search, and you've observed or polled your customers about their buying behavior, more possibilities for word research will be apparent. For instance, if you sell binoculars, and you know most of your site visitors use them for bird watching. You may enter into Wordtracker terms such as migrating birds, or fall migration. You'll then have an entire new set of keyword possibilities to consider and evaluate from a competitive perspective. The more you use it, the more possibilities appear.
