How To Earn Extra Income Online Lesson 6

Writen by Farid Aziz

"Which Affiliate Programs Should You Join?"

There are so many affiliate programs in the net. For certain niches, the numbers are huge. But please be very careful in picking affiliate programs, because your reputation is on stake!

I've written an article on this tricky matter and you can read it in Affiliate Marketing Article (if you have trouble with this link, then just right-click on it, copy the link and paste it to your browser).

After reading the article, we come to a conclusion that... to reduce risk, you should never ever stick to one single merchant within your niche! Pick a couple of solid merchants in order to stand on a safe spot.

Now, to improve your research on those merchants, you can actually steal a look at their performances. How are they doing..? Let's go to:

http://www.Alexa.com

Let's say that you want to know more about this merchant named XYZ.com. Just input the domain name to Alexa and it will tell you how many links are coming into XYZ.com. These coming links are telling you the predicted numbers of its affiliates.

You'll know also how many visitors XYZ.com has. This number is often called "traffic". Alexa also shows you some other helpful stats, including the related sites of XYZ.com. From there you might find other available merchants for your niche.

Well that just ends this lesson.

You probably notice that I mentioned "rich-content sites" before in this lesson. Well, in the next lesson we are going to talk about it and see how you can build a money-making one easily. Wow, you're getting closer to your potential-high-income internet business!

Online Affiliate Program Strategy The Advantage Of Not Having A Web Site

Writen by Christopher Kyalo

There is at least one very effective free strategy for achieving high sales from your online affiliate program without owning a web site.

This online affiliate program strategy calls for the use of articles posted at various leading article directories. Although some article directories do not accept affiliate links, the vast majority do. All you have to ensure is that your article is a valuable well-written keyword rich article. The keywords should be carefully selected so that they are able to attract traffic directly from search engines to your article posted at the articles directory complete with your affiliate link in the resource box pointing traffic directly to your affiliate site.

This is an online affiliate program strategy that I have used myself to generate affiliate sales. This strategy has a few advantages. Firstly running a web site is a very time-consuming thing to do, so anybody who uses this strategy is able to concentrate all their time and efforts on only generating and posting articles at leading directories to attract traffic to their affiliate site.

Secondly one is able to ride on the back of other web sites (in this case article directories) and the hard work that they have already put in to enjoy their current ranking and status with search engines. So your keyword rich article posted there is able to attract lots hits because of the good high position it will tend to enjoy is search results. This is a very powerful advantage of this online affiliate program strategy, because it usually takes a lot of time and effort to build up a web site.

Everlasting Income

Writen by Raymond Majewski

Can you really make money with affiliate programs?

The answer is a resounding YES! You can make money with affiliate programs if you do the research necessary to find the honest and ethical programs out there. There are many scammers around and they would love you to fall into their traps and take your earned commissions away from you. It's best to choose an affiliate program that is highly targeted and one that you would feel comfortable buying for yourself. After all, if you wouldn't buy it why would anyone else.

Affiliate programs work this way:

You sign up for a program of your choice.

They will send a welcome e-mail and assign you a link to the sales page website.

You can then start marketing the program.

Most good programs will give you sample banners, classified ads, e-mail ads etc to help you promote the business.

When people click your link they are redirected to the website that you are marketing.

When anyone makes a purchase, you will have earned a commission from 1% to 100% and most will be somewhere in between - 40% - 50% - 60%.

Sites like Clickbank and Commission Junction have thousands of affiliate programs to choose from, making it fairly easy to find one that you would be happy to promote.

NOTE – It is important for you to think about setting up your own website to promote the affiliate program. Here's why. If you have your own website you will be able to collect the names and e-mails of the people who click onto your site. Hint... offer something FREE such as an article or software to get them to fill in their names and e-mail address into the form on your website. Now, as you collect more and more names you will be able to send other offers to them again and again. This is a very powerful ASSET. Remember, the Money is in the List!

After joining an affiliate program all you have to worry about is marketing the program and making sales. You don't have anything to do with payment processing, product delivery, refunds or other details associated with the product.

Be aware that there are also downsides to affiliate programs. You will be competing with many other affiliates to get sales, especially if a market is highly targeted. If you are creative you can overcome this but it will mean more work for you. All in all the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

Go for it, take ACTION, it will be worth it!

Affiliate Programs The Basics

Writen by Helen Peshkova

Basic Idea

Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing in which revenue sharing between online merchants and online salespeople (affiliates), whereby compensation is based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales (Pay Per Sale), clicks (Pay Per Click) and impressions (Pay Per Impressions).

Merchants run affiliate programs to generate leads and sales from other Web sites. They pay an affiliate to generate sales from a button, banner, or link placed on affiliate's website, newsletter, e-mail or pay per click ad. For example, if a site owner signs up for any merchant's affiliate program, he will receive banners or links from this merchant that he can place anywhere on his site. Then, if a visitor clicks on this banner or a link on his site and buys something, he will receive a commission.

The introduction of affiliate programs in the late 1990s brought Internet marketing to a new level. The first companies that offered these programs saw sales increase dramatically. These companies basically get free advertising and only pay their affiliates a percentage of the sales they generate. It's a win-win situation for the company that runs the affiliate program.

Now there are thousands of companies in hundreds of industries that will pay commissions to you for sales, leads or impressions.

How does it work?

1. First of all you are looking for products and services sold online and used an affiliate program.

2. Then you should sign up for free as a reseller (affiliate). How to become an affiliate you can find below.

3. After that you should advertise these products and services. How to promote them you can find below.

4. After all you'll receive commission checks.

How to become an affiliate?

There are two ways to become an affiliate:

1. Some merchants have their own affiliate programs. You can join them on their sites.

2. But the most typical is to use Affiliate Program Providers (APPs). There are several large APPs. They connect a lot of merchants and affiliates in different industries. APPs collect payments from merchants and consolidate affiliate reporting and payments. For example, the affiliate places links to the merchant on their website, email, newsletter, or Pay per Click ads. When a potential customer clicks through the link they are sent to a specified page of the merchant's site. If this potential customer buys something, fills out a form, or completes any action desired by the merchant the affiliate is gotten a commission. The APP tracks all elements of the transaction. Joining an APP is absolutely free. You should only fill out a form. The affiliate should usually wait a few days for approval, sometimes applying is automatic. You can find the Top APPs at www.RichTrack.com.

Advantages

Affiliate Programs are the ideal way to get money quickly and easily online:

You don't need to launch a new product;
You don't need to handle any products; v You don't need physical inventory;
You don't need a huge investment. You can start with $10 and 2 hours a week;
You don't need a website because you can use Pay per Click ads.

Disadvantages

The very important disadvantage is a low click-through to conversion rate. Only a few percent of your visitors will click on a banner or link; of that percentage, a few percent will actually buy something. It can be disheartening to see that there have been thousands of visits to your site, and only small percent of them have bought something you promote. Recommendation: If you focus on the affiliate programs to the theme of your site and the interests of your audience then the better the results you will achieve. Also text links, "odd" ads (i.e. advertising that doesn't immediately look like advertising) will generally give rise to much better results than banners or buttons.

You should be reliant on a merchant's ability to sell to the visitors the products that you're promoting. Of course you can improve the chance of a sale by effectively pre-selling the product or service, but it's still up to the merchant to close a sale. And if they don't sell anything to your visitors, you get nothing. Recommendation: Before promoting any product you should learn it and decide for yourself: "Would I buy it?" If the answer is "Yes" that's greate, but if "No" you should look for better productsto promote.

5 Mistakes To Avoid When Choosing An Affiliate Program

Writen by Michael Turner

When people decide to join an affiliate program to make extra money, or to have a full time job, they often do so with illusions and no idea of how the affiliate program actually works. Read the following top 5 mistakes people make when it comes to choosing an affiliate program and avoid these mistakes at all costs. Then, you will be able to be more effective and make more money for your time, so it is definitely worthwhile to read these warnings and avoid them.

#1 Don't Compete, Support

Too many affiliate programs compete against their competitors which wastes money and puts affiliates out of business. However, if you are part of an affiliate program the more affiliates the better for getting more information and more money. One of the worst things to do is choose an affiliate program that believes in competing against other affiliates. Instead, choose an affiliate program that agrees with supporting and growing other affiliates to have a larger network and access to more affiliates.

#2 Little Reward

Another mistake people frequently make when choosing affiliate programs is choosing a program that offers little reward for the individual's hard work. Too many affiliate programs pay too little and as a result affiliates find it difficult to make the money they should be making. Look for an affiliate program that has a good pay rate for your work.

#3 Old Statistics, if Any

You want an affiliate program that offers good, solid, real time statistics, not old statistics or ones that are no longer valid. There are not many affiliate programs out there that provide the kind of statistics an affiliate manager needs, but do your best to find an affiliate program that offers the most.

#4 No Support

Too often affiliates find themselves waiting days for an answer to an e-mail and an important question for their business. You want an affiliate program that guarantees you support round the clock if possible or at least within 24 hours. If not, keep looking for an affiliate program that wants to help you help yourself.

#5 Fresh Ideas, Creatives

Many affiliate programs provide few ideas or creatives to their affiliates and so thousands of web pages end up with the same advertising. However, affiliate programs would have a better success rate if many different ads were made available so affiliates could alternate ads and place different ads on different sites, depending on the products sold.

Commit these five mistakes to memory so you know exactly what you are looking for in an affiliate program, as well as what to avoid. You will be much more successful and happier as well if you do not get caught in these traps!

Affiliate Marketing Website How To Direct Target Traffic

Writen by Dave Cooper

The World Wide Web is an incredibly large market place, and a very tough one for any business to survive in unless you find ways to direct target traffic to your affiliate marketing website. We're going to show how to target your main audience and bring them into your affiliate marketing website with a few cyber techniques that should translate into increased sales for your business.

First, let's define the term 'target traffic'. Much like shooting an arrow into the center of a target, your target traffic is the core of your customer base, the people who are truly looking to purchase your product if only they can find your website. While many visitors may stumble upon your affiliate marketing website and pass through it, not all of them are interested in purchasing your product. Weed them out, and what you are left with is your target audience, otherwise known as your target traffic. These are your true sales prospects, so you've got to find a way to let them know you're here.

Now let's talk about search engines. Search engines such as Google and Yahoo afford internet users a way to find what they are looking for. All a potential customer has to do is type in a few key words about the topic or item they are looking for and a search engine will provide them with pages of websites that contain at least some of that search content. Once they open up a particular site, they become part of that site's target traffic.

Upon these search pages, websites will be listed from top to bottom according to how closely they match the key words typed in, and how much related content is found at their site. Since online users typically only check out the first five websites listed, you want your website up in that top five. That's basically search engine 101. Now let's examine the two main types of search engines and how they operate in order to put your company in the top five listings and increase target traffic flow into your website.

Organic Search Engines

Organic search engines operate mainly on the keyword system. The key words a potential customer types into the search bar determines what sites will be brought up for their perusal. Simple right? This type of promotion for your website is basically free, so how can you use it to your advantage and direct more target traffic to your affiliate marketing website? Enter keyword articles.

Keyword articles are written about various subjects that pertain to a common topic, with a selected target keyword or keyword phrase strategically repeated throughout a certain percentage of the article. For example, if your affiliate marketing business sells ATV's, then articles about ATV's, ATV clubs, ATV trails, and ATV accessories would provide relevant information while at the same time using the keyword 'ATV' repeatedly. Post these articles on your ATV website, and search engines will automatically bring more ATV target traffic to your door.

You can further expand your target traffic by posting your keyword articles to E-zines that focus on your field of interest, in this example the ATV sport. Readers of these online magazines are already interested in ATV's, so getting them to your website should be a breeze once they know it's there.

Further keyword article exposure can be gained by linking agreements with other websites in your field of interest. For example, you might want to agree to a little sponsorship of an ATV club's website in order to have a direct link to your own articles and sales pages. This is just one more way to reach potential customers and drive target traffic back to your website.

It really doesn't matter what you're selling, just design your articles around your product, post them on your website, and submit them to E-zines that share your target traffic in order to increase your sales.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Search Engines

Think of this type of search engine as paid advertising. You and other online companies in the same line of business will bid against each other for temporary ownership of the best keywords and keyword phrases. The highest bidder will then have target traffic sent directly to their website when the keywords are used in that search engine, but you will pay your bid price to the search engine company each time the keyword is used. This will certainly increase your target traffic, and hopefully boost your sales as well, but it also eats into your profit margin.

Which type of search engine participation is best for bringing target traffic to your website? The quick answer is either one, but it really depends on how large your operation is, how much work you really want to put into increasing your target traffic, and how much you feel you can afford to pay for it. For large online businesses, PPC search engines are quite convenient, and a large budget may more easily absorb pay per click fees.

However, organic search engines are basically free. All you need do is come up with your keyword articles and you're sure to increase your target traffic. And if you aren't sure you can write your own keyword articles, there are companies with the expertise to provide well written, inexpensive keyword articles in the proper percentages to get you ranked high in the listings without getting you thrown out for keyword over-saturation.

Either way, knowing how to use and manipulate both types of search engines is a sure way to bring target traffic to your affiliate marketing website. The rest is up to you.

Sports Betting Affiliate Program Secrets Super Online Gambling Affiliates

Writen by Blake Stevenson

The world of a sports betting affiliate is one that is as full of variety and opportunity as that of the industry it serves. Online sports betting has become one of the largest industries on the Internet both in terms of financial turnover and membership. It's notoriety and popularity have meant that year on year the membership numbers swell. It has developed into an online phenomenon, raking in billions each year. But through affiliate programs this wealth can finally be redistributed to Internet users of all sizes and stature.

The affiliate program works as a reward system for website owners, who host advertisements from companies, in this case that of sports betting sites. For the affiliate this is a golden opportunity to make their web space into a useful earning plot rather than a stagnant place. The affiliate receives all of the banners, text links and even in some cases e-mail documents ready for mass sending, for absolutely nothing. Therefore there is no implied risk or up front capital that is necessary to begin a venture into the world of affiliate marketing. The simplicity and ease with which new affiliates can obtain this paraphernalia is one of the key reasons why so many have joined this, and other affiliate marketing programs on the Internet.

The other reason that so many have decided to host affiliate sports betting banners is the simple monetary factor. Most affiliate programs may offer you a small percentage of a sale or a few dollars up front for passing on a customer, but look smartly in the sports betting field and the rewards are much higher. Imagine for example earning not just a small percentage for a one off bet or a couple of months, but between 20 and 35% of a player's entire lifetime on a site. This introduces the availability of some serious money into the equation, and is also what has drawn many people into becoming serious sports betting affiliates. The more fully signed up betting customers an affiliate can attract, the more they are liable to earn, therefore the onus is well and truly on affiliates to get out there and sell their product.

In turn the affiliate is also supplying the sports betting site with hugely valuable and potentially lucrative customers. The affiliate is more than pleased to earn just 25% whilst the sports betting site is benefiting from the remaining 75%, which may be slightly depleted but far better than nothing. Many affiliate programs also protect the affiliates from making a loss, something that even bookmakers are susceptible to. Therefore the sports betting site does have the element of risk on their side, but it is an industry born out of such things, so it is barely surprising. The beauty of the affiliate marketing program is the success that it reaps. Simply by rewarding affiliates handsomely the sites get what they want, and just by adding banners the affiliate gets the money they want. It is a win win situation, in which both parties do all they can to promote themselves and each other in order to profit further from the financial rewards.

Setting Up An Art Affiliate Site Part 2

Writen by Jeremy Zongker

Step 4 - Choose a Domain Name

This sounds like an easy step, but you may soon find it can be surprisingly difficult. As mentioned before the majority of your traffic will hopefully come from search engines. To rank well in search engines one of the key factors is to obtain a domain name that includes one or more of your keywords. This can be a real problem because YourKeywords.com is most likely already registered. You can start by going to a domain registrar such as Go Daddy and enter the domain you want on the homepage. If it's not registered already you can register it. If someone else has already registered it you will receive a list of suggestions of available domain names or and go back and try another domain. Depending on the term you chose you may or may not find a domain you want by doing this.

The second method I'd recommend is a domain name suggestion tool such as Name Boy. This tool will let you enter your keywords and come up with a large number of suggestions for domains based on those keywords. It will also show you which of those domains are still available. I used this tool to register the sample site TropicalArt.org. I normally do not register .org sites, and if this was a site I was seriously looking putting the effort into making profitable instead of a simple example I would make every effort to obtain tropicalart.com. For this example it will do though.

Finally if you just can't find an acceptable domain using the first two methods you can buy one that is already registered from someone else. This can be much more expensive than the first two options but in some cases it makes sense to do. The two main sites for doing this are Sedo and Afternic. These sites work as a trusted third party to coordinate the sale and transaction between the buyer and seller, and collect a percentage of the sale from the seller for performing this service (much like EBay). I used these services to obtain this domain name, ArtAffiliate.com.

Step 5 - Build Your Website

This is a very important step and unfortunately one I can't explain in enough detail in this section. For those of you who are already experienced web developers, you have most likely already decided how you are going to develop your site and can move on to the next section. The rest of this section is for those who do not have any experience in this area. You're going to need to make a choice at this point to do it yourself or hire someone else.

Do it Yourself

If you choose to do it yourself and have no previous web development experience then you're best bet will be to develop a static site. This means you will manually be creating pages for each product you wish to sell and listing them on your site. It will also require maintenance to make sure you keep the prices up to date and add and remove products as needed. There are several tools available for doing this and you can just search Google to find them, but most likely you already have one on your computer, Microsoft FrontPage. It is included with Microsoft Office and is a great tool for beginners.

Hire Somebody Else

This may sound like it would be way to expensive for some people, but you'll if you are reasonable about the requirements it's really not that bad and will definitely save you a lot of time of having to manually add products. The biggest benefit is instead of manually creating a page for each product, all the products can be loaded into a database and the pages generated dynamically. Periodically a new datafeed can be downloaded from the affiliate program website and you'll instantly have the updated prices and current list of products.

So how do you find someone? You may already know someone who does web development, that will be willing to create a site for you for free or cheap. If so great! But developing the average art affiliate website will take about 15-20 hours worth of work and you may not be so lucky to find a volunteer. On top of that software development is typically a fairly high paying job so hiring someone locally to do it can cost a pretty penny. The method I would suggest is going to a third party website that pairs developers with clients such as RentACoder.com.

RentACoder and sites like it allow clients to list the requirements for their project and developers to bid on the project. You will be able to get your project done for a much better rate here because it's typically individuals doing the work instead of companies and there is competition from overseas developers keeping the prices down. It's very important that you be thorough on what exactly your requirements are. You also need to keep the requirements reasonable in order to keep the price down. Everything you ask for will add hours and cost to the project so if you don't really need it, don't ask for it. To give you a rule of thumb on what you should expect to pay, a no frills site such as the example Tropical Art should cost you somewhere around $300.

Step 6 - Find a Host

You are going to need a place to host your website. Your ISP may provide some web hosting space but typically this is a very small amount, so you're most likely going to need to find a web host.

The first factor to consider when finding a web host is if they support the technology your website uses. For example if your site was created using FrontPage, ASP or ASP.NET you will need a windows host. For static html, php or Java you can go with a Windows or Unix host. If you site requires a database such as MS SQL or MySql you'll need to make sure the host supports that as well.

There are several other factors such as price, bandwidth, reliability, etc that you'll need to consider as well. You can simply search Google for "web hosts" and compare the results to get an idea of what's available. I'd personally recommend StartLogic or PowWeb.

Step 7 - Optimize for Search Engines

It's important that search engines know what your site is about. You want to emphasis the keywords you selected earlier to make sure they know that is the primary subject of your site. To do this you need to make sure those keywords are included as part of the title on every page. Every page should have a different title though. Notice how on Tropical Art the title on each page is different but includes "tropical art" as part of the title. You should do something similar.

You also should provide alternate text for all of your images. This not only helps search engines know what the site is about but also helps people with software to assist with vision disabilities to navigate your site. You're keywords should also be contained within parts of the body text on your site, at least on the home page and preferably on sub pages. Just be careful not to overdue it, your page is made for human readers and should be designed as such. Search engines will detect over stuffing of keywords and rank your site lower as a result. It is also very helpful to have static urls such as /1234/subject.htm instead of urls with query string parameters such as /subject.php?subjectId=1234 . You can use url-rewriting to accomplish this with a dynamic site. It's also beneficial to place keywords in the url.

There are many other on-site optimizations you can perform. I recommend visiting High Rankings for more advice. Also keep in mind that your primary phrase isn't the only term you should target. If you have a subpage about a more specific topic, optimize that page for that topic not your main one. For example the page about the artist Carl Aagaard is optimized for his name instead of the more generic term "Tropical Art".

Double Your Dish Network Affiliate Check

Writen by David Meindl

Most Dish Network affiliates are content to earn several hundred dollars a month. But by applying these three simple ideas, you can potentially turn $300 into $3000 overnight.

1. Promote the Best Dish Network Affiliate Program

The largest Dish Network affiliate program claims to have recruited over 250,000 affiliates. Ironically, this same satellite affiliate program offers one of the *lowest* payouts in the industry - a measly $50 per sale.

You could instantly double or even triple your earnings by switching to higher paying programs.

2. Collect Email Addresses

It is a well-known fact that most people do not make a purchase on the first contact. You may need to send out your message more than 5 times to make the sale. So, collect the contact information of your visitors before sending them to the Dish Network retailer's website.

You can encourage visitors to give you their email address by offering free reports or ebooks. You can then follow-up with these contacts to remind them to order satellite TV.

Plus, with a list of names and email addresses, you can send other marketing messages to your subscribers and earn ongoing commissions instead of a one-time sale only. Develop a relationship with your subscribers by providing not just sales pitches but also useful information on a regular basis. The trust you build will pay dividends when you send your marketing messages.

3. Ask for a Raise

If you are already a successful satellite affiliate who can generate a substantial number of sales, approach the retailer to negotiate a higher commission for your sales.

Dish Network dealers understand the tremendous value of power satellite affiliates. They know that a successful affiliate can drive hundreds of sales. And because Dish Network pays retailers a small residual commission for each customer, retailers may even be willing to pay a stong affiliate at an initial loss in order to gain a substantial number of new customers.

Remember, too, that you are a zero-risk investment to your Dish Network retailer. So, don't be shy about requesting an increase in your commissions. Just try to be reasonable about it.

These three strategies can increase your earnings significantly in a very short period of time. You can instantly double or even triple your earnings by switching to a higher paying Dish Network affiliate program. But don't stop there. If you are already a power satellite affiliate, be sure to approach retailers to negotiate an even higher commission. And finally, by collecting the email addresses of your visitors, not only will you make more satellite sales but you'll also gain a subscriber that can provide you with a lifetime of income.

Visit the Dish Network affiliate program directory for programs paying as much as $140 per sale.

Starting Your Own Affiliate Program Part One

Writen by Clive Harman

We will start the first of a two part series on starting your own affiliate program. Joining an affiliate program is a neat way to make money from your users. But just as you can join someone else's affiliate program, so you can set up your own program and invite webmasters to sign up.

So…what would that bring you? The same as you're bringing your affiliate partners: deals. Every time someone sends you a user who gives you money, you give a portion of that money to your affiliate. It's an easy way to generate traffic and earn cash.

And you don't need to be a programming genius to set up an affiliate program. There are a whole bunch of companies out there that offer entire affiliate kits right off the shelf.

Ultimate Affiliate lets you run a fully featured affiliate program from your website. It integrates with virtually every payment method, awards down-line commissions, and can handle high-traffic websites. You can edit the sign-up form to match the "look and feel" of your site as well as delete some of the optional fields. The administration area allows you to edit affiliates and commissions, create printable reports of money due, export the data to a text file, view the traffic through your affiliate program, and much more. Your affiliates can log in at any time and see their traffic and commission statistics as well as change their information and get links and banner code.

Once the program is set up you'll only need to log in once a month to print out a list of the affiliates, their addresses, and the money owed. You can do this quarterly if you wish. You can export the payments owed to a text file in PayPal's "mass pay" format and then just upload it to your PayPal account to pay everyone automatically. Or, you can simply write your own checks. If you have to pay a lot of commissions, there is a check printing service called qchex.com. Upload the file and they'll print and mail your checks for a fee of about 80 cents each.

Alternatively, Locked Area Pro is an advanced member's area management system offering very good security that's easy to maintain. The system provides a huge list of useful features including automated sign-up, user account validation, optional random password generation and an administration approve/decline account feature. It also comes with an extremely powerful control panel with an online administration of users, backup, and full customization facilities from the browser. A statistics system is also in built in. What more could you want?

Any time you run a program where your affiliates rely on other signups to generate profits, you will eventually have a problem with spam. One of your affiliates will inevitably get it into their head to blitz the Web with unwanted garbage.

When this happens you need to be ready to take action— otherwise it will cost you! Your Internet Company can boot you off your server and you can find yourself blacklisted. Not good for business. If you get an email from someone claiming they received spam with your URL, then take it as an early warning. I am not advising you to immediately terminate the affiliate's account, but be sure to contact them to follow up on the complaint. Let your affiliate know you received a complaint and advise them to remove this person from their list.

If you only get one or two complaints, it's probably not spam—the complainants might simply have signed up for an email list and forgotten all about it. You will know when one of your affiliates is spamming, because you will get anywhere from 10 to 100 complaints in the same day all regarding the same URL. The best thing to do in this case is to immediately terminate or disable the account of the affiliate URL that was spammed.

This concludes the first instalment of my two part series on starting your own affiliate program. Stay tuned for more.

Poker Affiliate Program Marketing Affiliates Enjoying Continued Success

Writen by Blake Stevenson

Modern day online poker sites must stand in line with one of their greatest assets, the affiliates. These two very different industries survive by making the other as successful as possible. It is almost the epitome of the perfect business structure, with two successful industries feeding the other not only to create further success in their field but also in it's own. The marketing formula that has been developed by the affiliate program is such that it is not only risk free but hugely effective for the companies that utilises it. Affiliate programs not only allow everyday Internet users to subsidise the investment on their website with extra capital, but also allows big businesses to thrive by being able to spread their zone of influence further.

The affiliate program is a cost effective way for poker sites to advertise purely because they involve no real up front outlay. All the site has to do is to provide advertising materials, such as banners, word links and formatted e-mails and their part in the business is done. Affiliates come to poker sites or poker affiliate programs to ask to host the advertising purely because it is an easy way for to earn a little money from the site. In return for offering their affiliates the chance to earn some money, as well as offering them all the promotional tools for free, the poker sites can broaden the range of people that they can reach out to. With the poker banners proudly displayed on thousands of sites, the site can reach out to whoever ventures onto their affiliates sites, and with more exposure they stand a far greater chance of luring in the all important clients who keep the sites going.

But even though it may seem like a manipulative way for huge multi-billion dollar industries to get ahead, there are bonuses for the everyday Internet user. The affiliate-marketing program allows money to trickle down from the industries big money companies and into the pockets of whoever is willing to take it. The poker sites are by no means stingy with the rewards that they heap, in fact quite the opposite. The sites offer some of the best bonuses and financial packages for affiliates who bring in the all-important customers. If a person follows an affiliates link and becomes a fully signed up member of the poker site in question, the affiliate will be in line to earn anywhere between 20 and 35% of that players money generated for the site. The player does not miss out on the cash, it is simply drained from the profits of the poker site, who incidentally is still happy about receiving the greater share and the associated profits that come with new players.

From what can seem a very small percentage can blossom some significant revenue for the affiliates. It is this financial incentive that drives on the affiliates, which in turn maintains the affiliate program and the poker sites.

Private Resale Rights Pitfalls

Writen by Joseph Then

In any business, you do not always get what you wanted. You cannot convert your business into an overnight success. Do cannot simply create business out of nothing and end up big time because everything has to be planned and carefully studied. And any business you engage would bring you to different challenges along the way because no business is perfect.

And like any other businesses, entering into the private resale right field could not give you the success you have always dreamed of.

While most of the private resale rights entrepreneurs win big time in this field you have to consider that there is a portion of the pie that losses in this business. With the popularity of private resale rights in the information age, you should know where are the areas you would fail. Focusing your attention on the following this could save your time, your effort and your money. Here are the private resale rights pitfalls:

1.Intense competition is always one of the problems of newcomers who want to gain name in any businesses they would like to venture in. The private resale right business is not different. With worldwide market and of course worldwide competition, your private resale rights business could not move as you wish. 2.Any road to success is not always the easiest road to take. For private resale rights business, it could take a lot of marketing skill and time of careful planning to arrive at your dream success. Since private resale rights is existing right before your awareness that it exists, you should test the water first and plan your dive before you take the dip.

3.Although every business could be different from one another, the private resale rights intense competition could also mean "competition." One brand with different versions of presentations, there is a little chance to come up with a unique product of your own. A particular private resale right product might have a clone which in turn become a fierce competition. 4.Private resale right business is time consuming. Although most businesses requires time, extra effort should be given with modifications and customizations to come up with unique product.

5.Last but not the least. Any product you produce for private resale rights is more or less owned by other people. And because you don't own the rights of any of the products, it is subject could also be owned by other people which is also subject for improvement and modifications. You don't have the hold of any of your product that is why you cannot have the full market of any of your product.

Enumerating all these thing does not mean you don't have the space in private resale right business. For few people who succeed in this business, you surely can get to the same pedestal of those who make things good for their private resale right business.

What is good about these pitfalls is that if you know you are properly equipped to launch your own business, you are certainly get all the credits. And the elimination process would not eat you alive if you are prepared to face these challenges that could certainly occur along the way. With good and proper management of your private resale rights products, you will know where you stand up in case you fall down.

Before You Invest In Affiliate Programs And Online Products

Writen by Andrew Shim

If you're a newbie thinking of joining an affiliate program or buying an online product, you'll discover that finding the right one is pretty much like shopping for cereal! Every package is professionally designed to capture your attention. Every product claims to be the best. Everyone claims to be THE marketing 'guru' who can show you the way to easy riches. You only need to sign on the dotted line (or enter your credit card number) and you're on your way to easy street.

Don't get me wrong. Everyone has the right to succeed and to achieve financial freedom, but you've got to be careful. I've been there and done that so I know that you can end up with a lot of cereal boxes filled with empty marketing hype and savvy! After getting cereal box number 10, you think to yourself – hey… I remember this stuff from box number 2, 4 and 7! Get what I mean?

Many affiliate programs and online products are re-hashed, re-packaged "junk" that feed on people's frustration, desperation and greed. If you've ever had a hard day at the office, been chewed by your boss or facing the threat of losing your job, you know what I mean. As you sit feeling totally crappy and sorry for yourself, you think how wonderful it must be to be able to work anytime, anywhere, anyway you want, and voila! you suddenly see an ad on the Internet promising you just that – for a small payment of 97.90. What's a mere 97.90 you think to yourself, if it's really a lifeline to save you from a dead-end job and a tyrannical boss, but that's exactly what many (unscrupulous) internet marketers want you to think!

You need to realize that this "lifeline" you've just discovered to escape your "hopelessly dead end" job may just be someone else's lifeline to escape theirs! There are thousands of sites out there created by people just like you, ordinary folk caught in a desperate situation and need a quick escape. They're just following a formula set by their "mentor" to get people to buy into their program. Once they've got your cash, you find you're on your own – no support, no tools, no knowledge and no million bucks in profit!

So, before you whip out that credit card and hit enter, stop and consider the following:

Never jump in when you're emotional. Like they say… take a deep breath and count to ten. Remember, affiliate marketers are counting on you to act on your emotions. Their websites are peppered with phrases that work on your emotions - to take that all important step and sign up!

Do your homework. Scour the internet. Find as much information about the product or affiliate program that you're thinking of buying into. Unless you're really hard up for a quickie-fix (which is precisely what super sales letters are designed to do), don't jump in blindly. There is no short cut to this step. For every genuine affiliate program, there are ten others that are just a load of crap. If you have doubts, contact the person running the program and clear your doubts.

Beware of get-rich-quick promises! Never join a program just because it promises you a 80% commission as you "sit-back and let the system make money for you". There's no such thing as a free lunch. If the offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Learn to walk before you run. Learn the ropes by joining affiliate programs with a solid reputation for support and that give you loads of resources to help you. If you don't know any, then participate in discussion groups and forums. Get to know people. Build relationships online. You'd be amazed at the lengths online folk will go to help newbies, probably because they know what it's like themselves!

Remember – it takes time and effort to make it in this internet jungle of Affiliate Programs. Many venture into it but many more get hopelessly lost in it. Statistics show that up to sixty percent of people who join affiliate programs give up within the first year. Most of these people will move on to the next "big thing". You can avoid being a statistic. Do your homework. Keep your eye on your goal, work systematically, diligently and you'll find your paradise in the jungle! Cheers!

The Sort Of Headlines That Will Double Your Pay Per Click Affiliate Earnings

Writen by Christopher Kyalo

Most people don't know it, but headlines are the most important factor in any pay per click affiliate site. Headlines impact directly on how many clicks you will end up getting and what your earnings will be at the end of the day.

Pay Per Click Affiliates will spend hours adjusting their ads and researching the most valuable Adsense or Overture keywords. Then they will spend hours of the remaining time ensuring that they maximize on the traffic heading to their pay per click affiliate site. They will then proceed to take a few hurried seconds to decide on their headlines.

Big mistake. A change of headline can multiply the readership of an article, post or web page by a staggering 100 per cent or more. What this means is that it hardly matters what content you've had written or how good it is, if the headline does not do its' job. The first job of a headline is to ensure that as many people as possible read your article. They will hardly have an opportunity to click on your ads if they never make it to the page. Once your visitors are at your pay per click affiliate site, your headlines are also what will decide whether you'll hardly get any clicks or if you'll get people clicking feverishly at your ads.

In fact the power of your headlines starts right from the search engine results page. It is fairly common to see sites that for example, rank 10th on a page receive many more visits than sites that ranks first on the same page, simply because of a more attractive headline. It's all in the headline. Your pay per click affiliate earnings depends more on headlines than you could ever imagine.

Your Headline Should Only Pick Out People You Can Interest In Your Pay Per Click Affiliate Subject

Headlines that hardly get clicks, let alone enough readers are the general ones. There is little doubt that this is one of the most common mistakes made by pay per click affiliates when it comes to writing headlines. The tendency most people have is to write the sort of headline that will attract as many people as possible across as wide a spectrum as possible. Usually this effort to attract everybody ends up attracting nobody.

Instead your headlines should tightly focus on exactly the kind of people you know will be interested in the content provided. Pay per click affiliate programs makes this easier because of the importance of using keyword-rich articles. Still a great effort should be made to interest the target group you have in mind, as much as possible with your headline. Every effort should be made to narrow the focus of your headline as much as possible.

A clear sign that your headlines are too general is when you find that most of your visitors tend to spend only a few seconds at your pay per click affiliate site. This is a clear sign that they get there only to find that the content is not what they were looking for, the headline was somewhat misleading.

Your Content Provider Needs To Spend Lots of Time On His Pay Per Click Affiliate Headlines, Your Earnings Depend On Them

This is the reason why you or your low cost content provider should spend a lot of time on your pay per click affiliate site headlines. This writer usually writes out several headlines to the same article, before and after writing out the content. I will then go back and spend time adjusting and changing the headlines until I decided on the one headline that I feel will be the most effective. I usually do the same for my clients and also for my own pay per click affiliate articles.

Headlines Should Create More Hunger And More Pain Than The Pay Per Click Affiliate Article Can Satisfy

This is the most important pay per click affiliate headline secret. Just analyze for a minute the reason why somebody would want to click at your pay per click affiliate ad. It is the same reason that folks click on the same pay per click ads when they appear next to search engine results. They are usually seeking even more information than has been provided by the search engine.

So an effective strategy to use with articles is to create such a deep hunger for even more information on the part of your readers that they will feverishly click on your pay per click affiliate ads in search of it. All this starts with the headline of course.

I am not saying that you should provide only sketchy and inadequate information. If you do this, nobody will spend time at your site. Instead you should provide such valuable articles that have such precious insights that you create a hunger for more knowledge in your readers.

Your pay per click affiliate headlines should make readers aware of their "pain" or "headache" in the form of inadequate information. The more "pain" in which visitors to your site are in, the more clicks they will execute on the pay per click affiliate ads.

Casino Affiliates Profit With Successful Online Affiliate Programs

Writen by Blake Stevenson

The explosion of the Internet as a popular resource and commercial opportunity has thrown the doors open to a variety of industries and jobs. Some are individual to the Internet whilst others have been adapted from real life business. With a larger worldwide audience and 24 hour culture the new industries have thrived and developed numerous subsidiary businesses. Possibly the most extraordinary success outside of the retail world occurred within the gaming industry. Gambling and the associated games and practices have exploded either as a result of in spite of the online industry. Previously popular games have become hugely popular games thanks to their availability to anyone at any time in any location.

The boom in the gaming industry has meant that much of the revenue created has had to be shared out and has found it's way filtering through other online users. The most popular and successful way of redistributing the cash in order to produce further gain is through the affiliate system. Online casinos are one of the industries that have experienced huge growth both as a result of the Internet boom and for the distribution of wealth. The affiliate schemes offer website owners the chance to host advertisements. These promotional tools allow casinos and other companies to distribute their name in as many places as is possible. The wider they can spread the more likely they are too catch the all-important customers that keep them running. By rewarding their affiliates with percentages of the customer's profits for the site, they create a system whereby it is in everybody's favour to successfully promote one another.

This is a hugely effective and relatively cheap form of advertising for both parties, which in turn has made it just as popular with casinos and website owners all over the world. On the part of the affiliate websites, they can earn huge amounts from simply hosting another sites adverts. It is in their best interests to promote not only themselves but also their affiliate casino, which in turn makes the casino sites even more pleased as they receive hugely lucrative customers. It is a system that works extremely well and has been a large contributing factor to the spread of popularity in both casino gaming as well as hosting and affiliate programs. The financial repercussions are still not overly advertised meaning that affiliate marketing is a market that still has potential for new customers and website owners. Therefore the market is still wide open to newcomers and with the ever-expanding nature of the online gaming industry the opportunities for casinos and affiliates alike seem unstoppable. The future of either industry is dependent on the success of the other, therefore new blood is essential to keep revitalising and rejuvenating even the multi-billion dollar industries such as that of online casinos.

How To Setup Your Own Secure Affiliate Programme

Writen by David Hennebery

To make good profits, you will need to get high traffic to your site. This isn't easy to achieve but with an affiliate programmes you can increase your traffic considerably.

An affiliate programme works by providing a unique code for each affiliate that is linked to your sales site. When a visitor sent by an affiliate buys a copy of your e-Book, you give them commission.

So what our affiliate page needs to do is, convince as many people as possible to sign up and become an affiliate. You must inform your potential affiliate, how the product sells, the commission you will give them and the training you will give them to help them sell your e-Book. Therefore your affiliate's page is like your sales page, it really needs to sell.

The big problem with affiliates is that very few who sign-up actually make a sale for you. I'd reckon roughly 15% and that would be doing well. The reason affiliate programmes falter, is due to inexperienced people needing support. Remember if you can increase the likelihood of the inexperienced 85% selling your products, it will lead to considerable extra profits.

So what we need to do is educate the in-experienced affiliates. The best way we can do this is through an affiliate course. This will allow your affiliate to educate them. This course also allows you to stay in regular contact with your affiliate after they have signed up for your affiliate programme.

So, how do you set-up an affiliate course to educate your potential customers? It's simple, in fact you already know how. It's exactly the same as setting up a newsletter. Remember I spoke about getting Getresponse as an auto responder. Well you can also use this to take care of your affiliate course.

In a few minutes I am going to tell you about a piece of software that will automatically set up an affiliate sign-up page for you. It's the same as the opt-in form we produced for the newsletter earlier. All you need do then is get your sign-ups to be forwarded to your autoresponder.

With getresponse you can programme it to send out an email every three, seven or fourteen days (this is at your own discretion). So you can write a 6 part affiliate course on your autoresponder and send one part out every week.

To get an affiliate training course you can use, all you have to do is sign up to my affiliate programme. You will be automatically subscribed for the six part affiliate course. Save the course in your inbox and you have full rights from me to use this course for your own affiliate programme. So basically you're copying and pasting my affiliate course into your own autoresponder when you set up your programme.

Ok, how to set up your own affiliate programme. I mentioned earlier that if you sign up for clickbank, they will also take care of your affiliate programme. What I love about clickbank managing your affiliate programme is that they provide the accounts, the sales reports and they pay your affiliates every two weeks.

Earlier we setup an affiliate sign up template page. It's easy to get affiliates to sign up to your programme. All you do is get the potential affiliate to sign up for a clickbank account of their own The link you use to get them to sign up to their own clickbank account is as follows.

http://AFFILIATE.reseller.hop.clickbank.net

All you need to do is replace the "affiliate word", with your own clickbank nickname. This activates clickbanks affiliate link. If someone signs up using the previous link with your nickname, you will receive commission from clickbank if the person signs up for the full account.

So if you refer someone and they activate their account fully (activation fee $50), you will receive $10. Also you will receive a commission from clickbank for every sale they make with their own product in the future. Roughly this will work out around .10c for every 10 sales they make.

Now the code an affiliate will provide to link to your site will look like the following.

http://(yournickname).(their nickname) .hop.clickbank.net In order to let your affiliates generate the code they need to link to your site and earn credit for any sales they generate, Clickbank will create an automated affiliate link generator form just like they generated an automatic order form for your product. Below is the interface needed to create your affiliate link.

http://www.clickbank.com/build.html

By then creating a link on your affiliate signup page to this form, your affiliates will be able to receive their own unique affiliate linking code for your website .

Once a potential affiliate enters his/her clickbank nickname and clicks submit, the system then generates their own linking code. This links from their site to yours, showing that the visitor was sent by them.

Now you can use this affiliate programme if your budget is tight but I personally use a different programme and here is why I don't use the programme outlined above.

Firstly anyone can become an affiliate of yours. That means that if one of your hard working affiliates is promoting you and an interested individual sees his unique affiliate link to your website, he can just substitute your first affiliates link with his own, then buy your product. Your affiliate loses money which was rightly theirs. Not a good start.

What about someone who you get to your site? Well they can just buy through their own affiliate link and cut you out of some profits that were rightly yours as you got them there in the first place.

Thirdly, you don't actually know who any of your affiliates are because they don't have to register with you to become an affiliate. Its easy to work out the affiliate code they'll need so they go off promoting you.

Also your affiliate can't actually see how many visitors they are sending to your site. All they are aware of is the commission their making.

It is for the above reasons I use a programme called easyclickmate . This programme solves the above problems and obviously works in conjunction with clickbank, to maximise the potential of your clickbank account. It will also turn your affiliate programme into a very powerful money making machine!!

The way this software works is simple and very effective: Affiliate will actually sign up to your programme. They will provide their name, email, website address and country.

What I love about this software is that it includes its own control panel. This powerful system gives you comprehensive marketing statistics such as click-throughs, sales and conversion ratio (hits/sales) of your affiliates. It will display your top performing affiliates, top referral urls, top product(s) performance summary.

Your affiliates can login to the affiliate center to check his/her stats, and retrieve their custom affiliate links which are automatically generated each time you add new products. The affiliate codes cannot be switched so the affiliate won't lose commissions he rightfully earned.

They will also receive an automatic email notification from easyClickMate when they've made a sale. Details of the email includes the merchant's name (i.e. you) and how much profit they've made. You will also receive an email regarding the affiliate sale. This is a value-added feature as Clickbank has decided to stop sale notification to affiliates.

The reason this software is worthwhile and why you will actually save money when you purchase the product for $70 is as follows. The system works in conjunction with clickbank. You can sell a number of products using the one clickbank account.

So why don't you consider this

This software will cost you $70. If you are going to write more than one e-Book product, you will need a second clickbank account which will cost you another $49.95. Therefore if you are going to write more than two e-Books you will be saving money and this isn't even including the other wonderful features easyclickmate has.

Remember if you have more than one product, you can check your affiliate stats to see which product is selling the best or the one you need to improve. You will be able to see which website is converting the most browsers into buyers.

With this programme, you will be able to entice more potential affiliates because your programme is very professional looking. Also add that I've supplied you with a full affiliate course. So your affiliate programme will be very powerful indeed.

I mentioned earlier about setting up an affiliate info (sign up) page and also an affiliate log-in page. Well the good news is easyclickmate will install these pages for you and upload them to your website.

Installation is simple and is covered completely by the top quality guide. Adrian Ling (programmer) will provide you with this as soon as you buy his software. This script is written in a language called PHP.

Adrian ling provides a very good manual for installing the software on your hosting account, and he also provides one on how to setup and use the software once it's installed. The manuals are very detailed, and much like this book, break down the whole process into easy to follow steps. I've been personally dealing with Adrian for a while now and I can guarantee, he will provide you with excellent customer service if you need it.

A final word about this software is it also integrates with the Digital Vault software I mentioned earlier for storing your ebook. Therefore clickbank account, easyclickmate and digital vault all work and integrate simultaneously with other. This provides a pretty powerful sales programme. Need I say anymore!

Setting Up An Art Affiliate Site Part 3

Writen by Jeremy Zongker

The phrase "If you build it they will come" definitely does not pertain to websites. Getting visitors to your site is easy; doing it in a way that is profitable is very difficult and takes a lot of work. This is the most difficult and most critical phase to operating a profitable art affiliate site or any website for that matter. There's no magic formula to follow, but in the sections below you'll find some key pieces of advice that will greatly increase your odds of succeeding.

Step 8 - Monitoring Your Traffic

This is very important. Random odds dictates in part the number of sales you make, so if you do not monitor your traffic you will have no idea how well your efforts in getting traffic to your site are working. Your stats can provide a lot of valuable information such as how many visitors come to your site each day, how many pages they view, how long they spend on each page, where they came from, what path they followed from your site, etc. You can use this information to make changes to your site to help improve your traffic.

The good news is your host most likely provides a free utility for monitoring your stats, but you may have to turn on the stats monitoring or request that your host do this for you. If your host does not provide a tool for doing this or the tool they provide doesn't provide much information then you can visit StatCounter for a free one.

Step 9 - Build Links

To be successful it's important to have a fair percentage of your traffic to be "free traffic". The primary source of this free traffic is going to be from search engines and other sites. We already discussed how to optimize your pages to increase your search engine ranking, but that's only half the equation the other half is links to your site.

To get links to your site the easiest way to start is by submitting to directories. There are hundreds if not thousands of these directories that will accept your website for free. It's important when you submit to these directories or do any link building that you use your keywords as the link text such as Tropical Art. This helps your rankings by having other sites affirm that your site is about the keywords you selected.

This is work is something anyone can do but is also time consuming. If you don't have the time, once again you can use a site such as RentACoder to hire someone to do this for you. Let me just point out two things you do not need to do and shouldn't do. The first is submit to search engines. Once you have some other sites linking to yours they will find it, and you're better off if they find it on their own instead of you having to tell them about your site. The second is submitting to link farms or free for all (FFA) sites. This will gain you nothing and is a waste of time and money.

Step 10 - Pay for Traffic

Some directories such as Yahoo Directory and other websites require you to pay for inclusion. Some are worth it, others are not. It's going to be up to you to decide. One benefit of paying for this type of traffic versus pay per click is it will also help your sites ranking by providing you with extra back links.

Another option is to use Pay Per Click (PPC) programs such as Google Adwords. With these programs you pay for each visitor that comes to your site. This can be a great way to gain traffic but you also have to be careful with it in order to be profitable. What you need to know is how much you earn per average user. For example if last month you had 500 visitors and made $75 in commission, then on average each visitor made you $0.15. Knowing that you can bid below $0.15 per click and will most likely make a profit on the visitors referred to you from the PPC program.

Step 11 - Wait, Analyze and Revise

It takes time to get your site to rank with search engines. Usually you'll be able to find first on MSN within weeks, then Yahoo within a few months and finally Google possibly up to a year or more later. At the time of writing this MSN gets about 5% of search traffic, Yahoo gets about 15% and Google gets a whopping 75%. Your traffic will come in phases and it will take a long time to see the large payoffs.

Each month you need to analyze your stats again and determine what adjustments need to be made. You may need to increase or decrease how much you are paying per click on PPC sites, adjust your site layout to get more visitors to purchase or perform more link building to improve your sites rank. Just keep with it, continue to read and learn more and not give up and eventually your efforts will pay off. Good luck with your site!

How Much Do You Charge Per Hour Avoid The Question By Setting Up Passive Income Streams

Writen by Lois Carter Fay

If you work with clients, at some point in your career, you've probably been asked, "What's your hourly rate?" or "How much do you charge per hour?"

Now, you and I both know this question isn't totally relevant, even if you provide services like I do. Because it doesn't really matter how much I charge per hour. What the client really wants to know is, "How much is this going to cost me?"

But they don't want to pay some astronomical hourly fee, either. They want to feel like you put some effort into their work.

So what you really need to know is, "How much is it worth to this client to have this problem solved?"

Sure, I could quote an hourly rate. But usually I don't. They'd be shocked. Because I've been doing what I do for about 30 years, so I can often write a brochure in "record time," which wouldn't pay me enough to stay in business.

So I don't charge an hourly rate. I charge for my "smarts" -- my knowledge and experience. And if the project rate is within the client's budget, they're willing to pay it.

But how'd you like to get out of the piecework business altogether? I know I would!

That's why lots of people take the risk of commissioned sales. That is, they sell something and then get paid a commission--no salary. And some programs, like Mary Kay, are two-tier commissioned sales--meaning you get commissions on what YOU sell AND you get commissions on what your "downline" sales force sells.

So you and your underlings go out and beat the pavement, looking for new and returning customers to sell makeup to. You also keep your eye out for more sales reps who want to join your team, too. You'd never think of advertising your product in the newspaper, would you? No, because Mary Kay is direct sales.

Well, the online world of marketing has taken this a little farther. It's called affiliate sales.

Some programs pay one-tier and some pay two-tier commissions. It's basically the same as Mary Kay. But what's different is that usually you're being paid for "electrons" instead of makeup.

Someone writes an ebook that you decide to sell for them through your website. You put it up in your store, and then you forget it. Every once in awhile, someone buys it and you get a commission. Maybe you've recruited others through your affiliate link to sell the same product. They put it up on their website and make sales. You get a commission every time you sell the product AND every time your downline affiliate sells the product.

AND you have the option to advertise the product using pay- per-click campaigns on Google and Overture (and other places). You write such a good ad that tons of people click on it and visit your website. Because you have such a terrific sales page for the product, let's say that half the people buy it when they visit.

Now you're cookin'!

You also improve your search engine rankings--meaning you do all the right things and every time someone searches on your keywords, you come up on the FIRST PAGE of search results. So more people visit your website.

And while they're there, they might buy something or not. Or, they might see a Google ad that interests them and click off to someone else's site.

You got it! You make money on that, too! And after awhile, your website becomes your product.

Now you want to add more revenue streams to your business (firing every difficult client you have and replacing that revenue with something else...wouldn't that be great?!!?). So you write your own ebooks or nifty little software product that you can sell the same way you sell other people's electronic products, as well as through an ezine. But this time YOU KEEP ALL THE MONEY. Because it's your product.

Unless, of course, you recruit affiliates to sell your product for you. And who wouldn't? It gets your product out to LOTS more people. So you have to pay them 40% of the sales price. What does it cost you? Zip. Zero. Nada. It's just electrons.

You did all the work up front, so you can collect the money over and over and over as sales are made.

THAT'S PASSIVE INC0ME!

Guide To Successful Affiliate Marketing

Writen by Jim Ly

While studying the achievements of super affiliates that earn handsome money every month, we find that their attitude is fine tuned to get optimum results from their attempts. Apart from the attitude everything is the same. They sell the same products that everyone else sells, they sign up for the same advertising program and employ the same SEO tactics. What makes them different is their willingness to experiment more, think creatively and showing of better understanding of human nature.

1. Dare to Lead

Don't just be a follower; you can set new standards in affiliate marketing. This statement does not mean you should learn the nice good qualities of successful Internet affiliate marketers. You can take new ideas from the success of successful Internet marketers. But you can think differently and creatively. Creativity is the first thing every successful affiliate marketer possesses. You can creatively design your website, plan a promotional campaign and generally play your cards correct. Set standards and be a leader, let others follow.

2. Learn the Basics

Learn the basics of closing a sale. Learn from the innumerable websites in the Internet that sell products and services. Be a constant learner of marketing. This way you will know what sells and what does not. Goal setting, planning and implementing of the plans correctly make you a successful Internet marketer. Set daily, weekly and monthly targets, then lay down the plan and follow up with the implementation of the plans.

3. Set Priorities

Everything you plan to do to promote your new affiliate product may or may not be necessary or fruitful. Separate the tasks as immediately essential, moderately lesser and unessential. Cutting down on unessential tasks saves your efforts and gives you more energy to concentrate on highly essential tasks.

4. Learn the art of Giving Before Receiving

You can't bind horse before the cart. To receive something you need to give something. Here what you give before you take is information, tips and strategies to maximize the use of products you sell. For example if you sell photography items, provide in your website useful information about the care of different photographic products and continuously update the information with whatever you learn. Thus you learn to give before you receive.

5. Network

Network with fellow affiliate marketers. Help someone if needed. Don't shy away asking help if needed. Affiliate marketing is not a 'I Win, You Lose game'. Everyone can benefit from combined strengths.

6. Widen your Horizon

Don't put all your eggs in the same basket. Diversify your efforts. This advice is not a license to dilute your focus. If you are the affiliate of a company that sells digital camera, you will have a good idea about digital cameras, its components etc. Instead of setting your focus solely on digital camera for a specific company, become an affiliate of different companies that sell digital cameras. Also sell digital camera components like memory sticks, batteries, flash units … You simply give yourself more exposure to a variety of opportunities.

7. Never Quit

Last but not least. This one tip you need to bind to your heart. Early setbacks and losses are only natural. In such occasions, heartlessly dump the products or services that bring you low or no returns. Cut down costs. But never ever give up your career. You can find profitable products to sell that will give you profits. If you really want to become a successful affiliate marketer, you must see such setbacks as essential natural learning points.

Make 100 Commission On Your Affiliate Sales

Writen by Ian Mcintosh

If you've been involved in making money on the internet, you will no doubt have tried affiliate marketing at some point. For the uninitiated, affiliate marketing is the process of selling another person's product for a percentage of the product cost. This is a great way to get your internet marketing efforts up and running quickly and generate some instant profits, you can refer prospects to a sales page using Google Adwords within a few hours or by ezine advertising in a couple of days.

But although affiliate marketing is a great opportunity for quick profits it has several disadvantages, the biggest of which is that you don't get to keep all the money! This article is focusing only on information products so we'll ignore the measly 10 - 15% of offer for hard goods at online stores like Amazon etc, but even with info products the norm is around the 50% mark.

So ask yourself this – why should you go to all the bother and expense of generating a sale when you only get to keep half of the money? Wouldn't you rather keep it all?

There is a way to keep 100% of your "affiliate" sales, by securing the resale rights to the product. If you own or have right to resell the product, you get to keep all of the money instead of having a large percentage of it deducted by the vendor.

Now doesn't that sound better?

There are several ways that you can obtain resale rights to all sorts of information products and packages. Firstly you could just do a search on Google or Yahoo for "resale rights" and "information" or "software". These will return a lot of results and you could uncover some good products that you can sell using this method. Watch out however for packages that are stuffed with tired old books that everyone's already read - nobody will buy these.

Then there's our old friend eBay. Again you may find the odd one or two new titles that you can buy and get resale rights to, but the vast majority of ebooks on sale at online auctions are very low priced products that have become devalued by being undercut by one vendor after another. You will not make very much money on products that are selling for 99 cents on eBay!

The only real way to make money with resale rights is to buy good quality, fresh, exciting products that are in demand. Make it your business to search out high quality top-end material that you can buy the rights for and you will be able to sell it for months and even years to come.

Reselling Products With Resale Rights Is This Trend Here To Stay

Writen by Fred Farah

Selling intangible and digital goods on the internet has brought a new e-commerce era in which resale products, resale rights and reprint rights have become an extension of the activity itself. Such intangible goods include software, e-books, manuals, articles, tutorials, certificates, forms, files, music, podcasts, movies, digital art, and many others that may be purchased through an electronic payment processor or with a charge to credit or debit cards.

Electronic payment processors are also called e-payments and are those made via a web browser for goods and services using credit or debit cards but processed by third party escrow agents or companies. Third party payment systems include Cli ckbank, Paypal, Stormpay, eGold, moneybookers, emo, worldpay, etc. Altogether, the number of resellers, also known as A ffiliate Marketers, is increasing every day making it possible to find whatever you look for on the internet.

All these facilities are to encourage the acquisition of products via internet, but behind the goods offered, there are many individual stories of innovation, hard work, and redrawing of marketing strategies. Established companies, solution providers, software developers and entrepreneurs, just to name a few, are moving from traditional marketing, telemarketing, printing, direct mail and emailing methods, to more effective efforts reselling products and products rights.

While many services stick to the model in which a reseller pays out from a few dollars to thousands of dollars in annual membership fees for reselling vendor programs, many vendors are moving to a scheme in which resellers pay for a product with resale rights. Ss the sale is final the buyer now owns the product, and then resells the product.

He may raise the price following the suggested price guidelines of the vendor, or determines the price at his sole discretion, keeping the total amount of the sale. This includes what would be the affiliate commission. So products sold this way are profitable for both the vendor and the reseller.

Resellers are found practically in every type of industry land-based and web-based, from housing to technology. Resellers perform one of the most important roles in the supply chain of digital products and intangible products worldwide, otherwise limited to one online and physical location; the vendor's location.

One of the first implementations of this marketing model was made by Independent Software Vendors (ISV) term applied to those companies specialized in making and selling software, a digital good usually for niche markets, such as health care professionals, real estate brokers, barcode scanning or factories' stock maintenance.

Today, software reselling has expanded not only to companies but to independent developers and amateur programmers who create small but fully functional and useful application software rather than system software such as operating systems and database management systems.

Under the new schema, software vendors sell their programs directly to resellers who are in charge of the product distributorship, being totally independent of the vendor and independent in their approach to working with their potential clients at their convenience. With this same behavior, other intangible and digital goods developers work with resellers to commercialize their products.

As a derivation of the reseller activity, some vendors offer resellers the opportunity to resell products to the end-user consumers keeping 100 percent of the earnings in a schema known as "resell rights". These can be limited rights, such as only reprint rights, or full rights, known as Master Resal e Rights.

These may include the commercialization of the software as the reseller wants, including printing, modification, distributorship, integration in CD bundles or even as give aways to encourage the participation in other activities, such as getting memberships.

With this panorama, we can confirm that resale products and resale rights are here to stay. If you want to become a reseller and earn an immediate commission on the sale. With affil iate marketing, the number of intangible products and digital goods you can resell are as big as your imagination can figure out. This includes all possible commerce branches as well as innovative digital business developed by entrepreneurs.

If you want to resell digital goods and intangible goods keeping 100% of the earnings, the possibilities are as large as the reselling of products, but depending on the goods in which you are interested, it is required to purchase the goods to get full master resell rights included. Or it might require getting a membership to a certain website.

Is reselling products with resale rights here to stay? You better believe it is! Get involved early, and you should profit from this current ctaze.

What Is Affiliate Marketing And Is It For Me

Writen by Trent Brownrigg

Affiliate marketing can be defined as a widespread method of promotion in which an affiliate is rewarded for every view, sale, and/or registration produced through the affiliate's efforts (depending on the type of affiliate program).

It's similar to collecting commissions as a typcial salesperson would. The more the affiliate sells... the more the affiliate gets paid. It's as simple as that!

Compensation calculations vary but are typcially based on one of the following:

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) - a specific amount is paid for each visiter the affiliate sends

Pay-Per-Lead (PPL) - where the affiliate is paid for registrations or sign-ups

Pay-Per-Sale (PPS) - a specific commission per sale is paid to the affiliate

If your goal is to generate your entire income online you can drive traffic from your subscriber lists, your websites, and from other marketing methods to affiliate links.

What About Product Sales and Marketing?

You'll want to watch for great products and services with the potential to benefit your niche market and your mailing lists. To build trust and income, it's best to recommend only those products that will be of specific interest to them. It's a win-win situation for everyone that way.

When an affiliate is marketing any product, the cost of marketing the product is absorbed by the affiliate, so it's important to keep that cost in mind when promoting products. Typically the higher the percentage of affiliate commissions possible from any quality product, the more that product is worth promoting.

When a product is sold through the affiliate's personal link, depending on the service used, the total sale is divided up among the vendor, the affiliate, the taxing authority, the shipper (if any), and the payment processor.

It is common and expected that all affiliate details be spelled out in the affiliate sign-up process. However, you shouldn't be afraid to contact any vendor to clarify their affiliate program if you have questions. Often you can telephone or email for a fast reply. If they are not willing to answer your questions then you should stay away from them. There are plenty of other quality affiliates programs that would love to have you!

Is a Digital Lifestyle for Me?

Many standard retailers offer very small commissions for affiliate sales while most internet marketers offer around 50%-75% of the sale for being an affiliate of their digitial product. This is why being an affiliate of digital products can be very lucrative in a relatively short period of time.

Although the number of affiliate programs for tangible goods and off-line services is rising, a completely digital lifestyle can be developed solely from digital or downloadable affiliate products that may never take physical form.

Of course it's important to note that as an affiliate of any tangible product, you generally never do more than promote a link to the product online. So in that sense it's basically the same as a digital product.

One of the best places to find digital products to affiliate with is ClickBank.com. They have an automatic affiliate program built into their payment processing service so that affiliate payments are not left up to the product owner to process.

Three other good affiliate programs to check into are:

CJ.com (Commission Junction)
Amazon.com
LinkShare.com

Staying with reputable, well-known internet vendors makes a great deal of sense because you know you will get paid, you know when to expect a check or bank deposit, and you can see your account details online at any time. Plus, if you do have a problem they are more than willing to take care of it.

How Do I Get Started?

There are many ways to start with affiliate marketing, but a basic starting point is to have a web site with text or image affiliate links to products you want to promote. Generally you want to stay focused within a niche or interest group to increase your sales potential. In other words, you don't want to have many different affiliate links to variety of completely different markets on your website. Stick to a similar theme.

If you have used the products, your promotional efforts could include a product review based on your own experience along with images and other supporting information.

Developing an email opt-in list is helpful in affiliate marketing because it gives you the opportunity to find the products and information with the most potential benefit for a group of like-minded individuals (your subscribers) and tell them about it. A targeted list of subscribers, that you have built a good relationship with could be worth thousands of dollars over time.

By promoting affiliate products to several targeted niche markets, it is possible to create a substantial income over time. Especially when the affiliate marketer is only promoting quality products with a real potential to benefit customers within the niche.

In conclusion, affiliate marketing is a great way to build an income without having a product of your own, and without having to do much more than get interested people to view product information through your affiliate links. It's very easy to get started and can eventually put a lot of money in your pocket. But be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort. Making money online through affiliate programs is not easy. If it was everyone would be rich.
