Understanding The Sales Per Visitor Rate For Affiliate Marketing Websites

Writen by Sorna Devadas

G'day ladies and gentlemen,

This is Sorna Devadas here, writing my first article for the Internet. I have personally designed and developed around 15 websites for paying customers that have all been thrilled with the results and now I'm learning how to build my own websites that make money for me :-) You may have read alot about affiliate marketing and building websites that make you money while you sleep. There are so many strategies that you'll hear bits and pieces about so here's one concept that stuck with me, as I read more into this fertile opportunity, the basic sales process. When attracting visitors to your website, some will make a purchase and some will leave without buying. The two things we want to watch are the number of people visiting and the number of those visitors making a purchase.

This percentage is the Conversion Rate and the dollar value is the Sales Per Visitor Rate (SPV). To calculate the sales per visitor rate, take the value of the sales you made for a given time period and divide it by the number of sales you made for that period.

For example, in the last 12 months you may have made 550 thousand dollars worth of sales and had 300 thousand visitors. The SPV is then $1.83.

By increasing the number of visitors alone you will increase your profits and by increasing the sales per visitor rate alone, you'll also increase profits. By increasing both of these as time goes on, your website will become more and more profitable. Typically you can expect between 1 and 10 of every 100 visitors (Conversion Rate between 1 and 10%) to buy something and for those that don't buy, try to obtain their email address so that you can contact them later with more offers. This is another powerful concept called the signup rate. Signup rates vary between 10 and 33%. Any less than 10% needs work, any more than 33% is fantastic!

I hope you found my first article useful. All the best with your online success.

Born in Lithgow, Australia, I completed a Bachelor of Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Western Sydney in 2001. I established Futurcom International, a website design and development business that has built over 15 websites from simple to complex in nature. I'm now focussing on building my own online enterprises and am starting with affiliate marketing websites.

To find out more about how to increase your SPV and for more powerful concepts, visit http://www.internetprofitmentor.com Here I found a wealth of useful and free information with over 12 hours of video and a 120 page e-book. There's also a comprehensive free course, a rare jewel amongst lots of expensive courses around.

Can You Tell Me How The Hell Should I Choose Products To Promote In Clickbank

Writen by Dy Loh

Firstly, I would have assumed you have already signed up with Clickbank as an affiliate. If you have not, please proceed to their website to register.

Selecting the right product to promote.

This is actually one of the trickiest to do. Do you select a popular one and risk being in an over-crowded market? Do you select a new product? But risk low popularity and sales? How about a "middle" product? And risk being mediocre? As you can see, it really takes a lot of skill and experience to select the right products.

Select a high paying enough product.

When I say high paying, I mean in terms of commission. How many percent do they pay you? 50% 55%? For me that is quite low already I would, generally, never promote a product that has a commission below 50%. Almost watch the price of the product, if it is too high perhaps it would deter price conscious customers.

Take a good hard look at the sales page.

The sales copy is one of the most important, in fact I would rate it the most vital, aspect to look at. Because all it matters is whether your traffic you send to the affiliate link will convert, and a good sales page certainly does up your chances a whole lot. Rate it upon 10, how convinced are you yourself to buy? Certain stuff to look at includes testimonials, bonuses, pricing, layout etc…

Look at the stats generated for the vendor generated in Clickbank Marketplace.

It is almost a no-brainer that you have to come here to look at some very important statistics. It gives information on the percentage of sales made through affiliates, how recent sale were generate and the payout. More on deciphering these statistics will be revealed in my book "Clickbank Profit Machine". Pay close attention to all the statistics here.

Dylan is the author of highly relevant "Clickbank Profit Machine". Only affiliates serious about making a fortune online need to look.

Affiliate Marketing The Ultimate Computer Game

Writen by Jean Fisher

I'm not a gamer. However, when my son was younger, he and I tackled a computer strategy game together. In the game, the player became the main character wandering through a strange land seeking a great reward. Along the way, he encountered both helpers and hinderers. Through these encounters, our hero found opportunities to increase his strength and cunning. That describes affiliate marketing – a feat of strategy that can offer great rewards to those who acquire strength and cunning.

Life Force It's Game Over when your character runs out of life force. In our game, life force is measured by the number of visitors to your website. Of primary importance to an affiliate marketer is creating ways to attract visitors. Internet users are seeking information and entertainment. Build a site that offers one or both of these along with an element of uniqueness and you will have the potential for an abundance of life force.

Strength There's strength in numbers is certainly true in internet marketing. Find ways to place your link on other sites. Look for sites that are relevant to your own content. Those fellow website owners who will exchange links or write features about your site are important helpers in gaining strength.

Forums are a place where you can personally interact with other internet users. These interactions can result in drawing more visitors to your site. Many forums allow you to post your link along with your signature. Networking through forums can help build links and service exchanges as well. Reading posts from other users can often uncover a lotus blossom of knowledge.

Article databases create more opportunities for visitors to become aware of you and the information or entertainment that you have to offer. Allow these minions to do your bidding and bring traffic to your site.

Cunning Never stop learning. Subscribe to two or three affiliate marketing newsletters. You have mentors with lessons to teach, open your mind and receive.

Search engines can seem both friend and foe. It takes a lot of work to master the search engine. Words are the key. You must diligently seek out the words that bring you the most visitors and include them in the content of your site. The tricky part is, however, that the perfect combination of words is constantly shifting as if you are building your structure on a sand dune. As the terrain changes, so must your site.

There are seers who can help you master the magic of the words - search suggestion tools. With these tools, you can assign value to the words that your site contains. Choose high-ranking key words that are related to the message of your page and gracefully weave them into your content.

Rewards Join an affiliate program to find advertisers. Select your ads carefully to cater toward your targeted audience. Some sites do well with flashing banner ads, while others find text links to be more lucrative. Apply your cunning and study your ad campaigns continuously.

Pay per click programs are also available. The commissions are smaller than affiliate advertisers pay, but since visitors will click much more often than they will purchase, the small amounts add up quickly. Apply the key-word strategies and your pages will not only display ads that pay higher rewards for each click, but also ads that are of keen interest to your visitors.

Joint ventures are a combination link exchange/affiliate relationship, a way to share traffic to the mutual benefit of both parties. Look for joint venture opportunities from sites that have parallel interests to your own site. Inviting another person into your boat adds more rowing power and speeds you along your journey.

It's a game! Enjoy each moment as you gain the next level. Remember that strength and cunning take time and determination to develop. But, as they grow so will your chests of treasure.

Writen by Karen Kari

When you've spent time, major time, developing a successful affiliate site, you've learned things it would take others years of trial and error to learn themselves. Information you can sell. Perhaps it isn't about creating the perfect affiliate website. Or how to make money focusing a site on guys who delight in finding certain software bugs. But something that has a large and broad audience, such as an aspect of blogging behavior.

Offline publishing takes months, maybe years to get to market, even after you've written it. Printing costs are huge, and even if you find the right agent and editor, you're faced with the daunting task of self-promotion, because only the stars get whirlwind publicity tours and book signings. And in a fast-moving industry, the information could become out-of-date by the time the presses stopped. How can you capitalize upon this knowledge?

Ebooks are a great way to share current information, with almost no expense, and the potential for good profit. You can promote them on your website and the sites of others. They are ready as soon as you convert your text to a .PDF file and create a good cover.

But what about the contents? How did all those people with ebooks get started, never mind finished? Some used systems developed and marketed by people who've been successes in this field. One useful system, an ebook itself, www.7dayeBook.com takes you through identifying a good, marketable subject, a system for outlining and writing, marketing tips and pricing. You won't just be creating a saleable item, you'll be raising yourself up a notch in the expert group!
